Independent and Free or Ruled and Happy?

Android development community has become a victim of its own success. Immense sales of Android gadgets and a breathtaking demand of Android apps transformed the Android development society from a tightly bound group of geeks sharing common interests and values into a crowd of not that skilled professionals thirsty for money and financial success. The very nature of the open source projects is at risk as kanging issues arise, provoking more and more developers to close the source code and stick to Apple’s model.
